How Forest grew a sustainable shared eBike solution in London, ready to scale globally

Mar 21, 2024 | 11:30 AM CET - 11:45 AM CET

Description

We will outline Forest’s growth strategy from our inception during the pandemic to our current position as a leading London player, ready to scale our unique business model globally. Our talk will have an emphasis on our sustainability journey, seeking to position ourselves as the most sustainable in the sector despite evident environmental challenges in this space. We will highlight the opportunities for progress in shared micromobility, both in terms of the industry’s broad ability to drive modal shift towards more environmentally friendly travel to more granular analysis of how to improve supply chains and ensure our operations adhere to environmental standards. The presentation will situate this story, realistically, within the wider context of the economic challenges faced by the sector; sustainability includes financial sustainability and being able to continue to survive in a challenging environment, dominated by small margins and in which many players have succumbed to financial woes in recent years and months. The audience will be able to understand the complexities of sustainability in this space, whilst also being taught some of the small changes that can be made to the business to drive more environmentally conscious operational processes. Hopefully, the conclusion will show that it is possible to survive, even thrive, as a micro mobility company which prioritises environmental sustainability alongside economic sustainability. We look forward to speaking to attendees afterwards about the potential growth of Forest shared e-bikes into other markets in the near future.
