This keynote presentation will delve into the groundbreaking Smart Road Infrastructure Classification Index (SRICI), a pivotal tool designed to assess road networks' readiness for the era of Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs). Developed as part of the EC’s Horizon 2020 FRONTIER project, SRICI addresses critical needs in integrating CAVs within our built road environment. Throughout this session, we will share insights into the development, scope, and specifications of SRICI, providing a comprehensive overview of its significance.
