2024 Macif-Védécom Barometer on the acceptability of automated vehicles by the French

Mar 21, 2024 | 11:00 AM CET - 11:30 AM CET

Description

What is the social acceptability level of automated mobility? Does it vary depending on the type of vehicle and the level of automation? For what uses and in which contexts? What are the obstacles? What are the drivers? To answer these questions, Macif, the leading car and motorcycle insurer in France, has designed with the Energy Transition Institute Védécom a barometer* to better understand the place that the French envision for the automated vehicle in their daily mobility. The results of the 4th edition of this barometer will be presented in a preview at the Autonomy Show (on March 21 from 11:00 am to 11:30 am). This barometer notably feeds the work of the Movin’On Interest Community on Automated Vehicles, created and led by Macif, which brings together 11 other major companies: beti, BNP Paribas Cardif, Forvia, Gama, Kantar, Maif, Michelin, Microsoft, Orange, SNCF, and Vinci. Guided by the motto "Mobility for all, autonomy for all," this interest community focuses its work on a model of a collective automated shuttle that will help to open up territories and facilitate the mobility of populations, especially the most vulnerable, thus contributing to better access to employment, leisure, or medical care.
