Description
Matthijs Kok works as a transition manager for the City of Utrecht in the fields of electric mobility, charging infrastructure and smart grids. In our city of 350.000 inhabitants about 70% of houses have no private parking and rely on public chargers. Together with Utrecht partners we have developed a city wide network 4.000 public charge points over the last years. 50% of those chargers have V2G functionality. We expect the network to grow to 6.000 public AC-charge points in 2030 and an additional 250 DC fast chargers for appox 25.000 EV’s (that is 1:5 cars) in 2025.
