Founder of Women in Mobility Israel, General Partner at Mobilitech Capital, Creator of EnergyONAIR podcast. Orlie Gruper is a prominent figure in the Israeli smart mobility community with an 19-year track record in the field. She was voted one of the top 21 women in mobility of 2021. Orlie holds several positions and leads numerous projects. She founded Women in mobility in 2018 with the goal of supporting the growth of women in the mobility field. She is also a General Partner at Mobilitech Capital, a mobility-focused early-stage VC, where she invests in and supports early-stage smart mobility companies, aiding their journey to global success. Orlie mentors young entrepreneurs and advises innovation programs and accelerators. Since 2021, Orlie hosts a podcast called "Energy ON AIR” that is backed by the Israeli Ministry of Energy. The podcast breaks down buzzwords and provides insights on technologies in energy and emobility, aiming to bridge the knowledge gap between the innovation ecosystem and the general public. Orlie is also involved in various nonprofit roles. She is the elected chairwoman of the audit committee of the board of the Air Force NGO Association and serves on the board of the nonprofit organization- Tiftufim, whose goal is to plan projects and events of joint activities for people with and without special needs. Prior to this, Orlie served as the Executive Director of the EcoMotion Smart Mobility Community for over 4.5 years, growing its global community to 13,000 members and making it internationally renowned. She continues to advise to EcoMotion as a member of its advisory board. Other previous roles included a pivotal governmental role representing the Israeli transport sector at the European Commission, fostering joint R&D between Israeli mobility companies and European entities. She was the first female entrepreneur within the Israeli Smart Mobility Community, founding an innovative electric motorcycle company in 2011, before the sector was fully developed. After successfully achieving growth Orlie sold her half of the company. Orlie’s career began in aviation, with two years in the Israeli Air Force’s F16 operation room and commanding mission rooms courses. Post-military she operated a private aviation company’s fleet.
