Description

In Europe, the car dominates the modal split with an average of 75 percent. However, this is primarily the result of political decision-making. After the end of the Second World War, the car became the central indicator of prosperity and privacy in all industrialized nations. To this day, the car enjoys a number of legal and financial privileges. Sustainable mobility concepts will only prevail if the political framework conditions change.
