Inspiring cities to build cycling infrastructure

Description
Successful cities need transportation systems that allow people to move safely, efficiently, and sustainably. Comprehensive cycling networks can meet these needs while also improving public health and well-being. The recently launched Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure (BICI) will help ten cities around the world create safe, interconnected, and innovative cycling infrastructure. It is being led in a partnership between the Global Designing Cities Initiative (GDCI) and Bloomberg Philanthropies. In this session, we will share a series of visual case studies highlighting innovative approaches to cycling infrastructure design and community engagement, which we want to foster during the BICI Program.
