Safety needs to be at the centre of how we plan and manage our mobility networks. Through innovative uses of data, tools, and other initiatives, iRAP's global safety indicators are increasingly becoming part of road management systems, providing real-time safety ratings of road networks, informing their design, and tracking safety performance over time. Through innovative analysis and reporting, these indicators can also give unique insights into safety across different modes, as well as by age, ability and gender. With the support of our global partners, these initiatives and tools will ensure that safety is a foremost consideration for cities to plan, design, build and maintain a 5-star city.
