Description
Daniel brings relevant experience to Autotech Ventures as a startup founder/CEO and Board member for multiple companies, and today leads investments in both B2C and B2B startups, often with a focus on marketplaces, SaaS, or logistics.
Prior to joining Autotech, Daniel was a partner at Tandem Capital and senior director in Concur’s (NASDAQ: CNQR) corporate venture capital team and was a seed investor in transport and mobility startups including SpotHero and Firefly.
He also had multiple successful exits from angel investments, including Grove Collaborative (NYSE: GROV), LoungeBuddy (acquired by American Express), Beanworks (acquired by Quadient), Fishbowl (acquired by Glassdoor), and Kanvas (acquired by Verizon).
Previously, Daniel created The Marketplace Conference, which exists to share best practices in operating and investing in marketplace startups among founders and VCs, and was co-founder and CEO of CouchSurfing as well as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Benchmark Capital. He also held executive product roles at Norton (Symantec) and TripIt (Concur/SAP).
Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
